OfficePower’s ENERGY SOLUTION SYSTEM provides a comprehensive
solution to office building owners that seek to maximize the
long-term value and competitiveness of their properties through
increased power quality and reliability and additional cash
flow. Under its ENERGY SOLUTION SYSTEM, OfficePower will pay
for the purchase and installation of all required equipment
while ensuring that a building’s total power costs remain
competitive with costs that it would have incurred if it had
remained completely tied to the grid. Our ENERGY SOLUTION SYSTEM
combines on-site generation with commodity procurement services
to supply 100% of a property’s power. By combining
the full range of its services into a comprehensive program,
OfficePower
maximizes the efficiency of its equipment and procurement
economies, which, in turn, translates to increased cash flow
to our building
owner customers
Our systems utilize proven, state-of-the-art,
gas-fired, distributed generation equipment and technologies
that meet all federal and state emissions requirements for
continuous operation and have the ability to function either
in parallel with or independent of the grid. By sizing our
power generation equipment to meet critical tenant or building
loads, our customers always remain connected to the grid,
allowing our on-site systems and the grid to effectively serve
as backup for each other. With the additional installation
of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) equipment, our systems
can upgrade the building’s existing grid power to a
digital quality standard and ensure, to the greatest extent
possible, the continuous delivery of power to specified loads
during all grid-related outages and disruptions.
OfficePower’s ENERGY SOLUTION SYSTEM integrates the
following services to increase the competitiveness and value
of our customers' buildings:
Electricity Generated On-Site
OfficePower
designs, installs and operates, at its cost, proven,
state-of-the-art, distributed generation equipment to
provide the power necessary
to ensure the uninterruptible operation of critical requirements
during potential grid outages and disruptions. This equipment,
which can operate either in parallel with or independent
of the grid, typically supplies from 25% to 40% of a
property’s
peak load. OfficePower designs its on-site systems to operate
at full capacity during peak electric rate hours. OfficePower
combines its on-site generation with power that it purchases
from the existing grid to meet 100% of a facility’s
power requirements.
Building Heat
In many facilities, OfficePower
is able to supply most or all of a building’s
heating requirements through a combined heat and power
(CHP) installation
which is integrated with the property’s existing
system.
Building Air Conditioning
OfficePower
can supply a portion of a building’s cooling
requirements by using the waste heat from its on-site
generation equipment
to fuel an existing or new absorption chiller. Using
such systems, OfficePower can reduce the building’s
reliance on its existing cooling equipment and provide
additional
reductions in a facility’s overall costs for cooling.
Monitoring
and Control
OfficePower provides
state-of-the-art monitoring and control services
that utilize wireless and/or web-based technologies that
maximize equipment
efficiencies through remote dispatch, trending, etc.
and provide for rapid response to potential equipment
malfunctions.
Digital Power
In some instances, OfficePower
will install UPS systems that clean up grid-related
surges and harmonics and provide for a seamless transition
to the
back-up power provided by its on-site generation equipment.
